Why Moore remains central to Roswell history
William Moore remains impossible to ignore because he influenced Roswell in two contradictory ways. Second, his later admission that he had cooperated in a documented disinformation campaign permanently altered how researchers assess evidence emerging from the UFO community.
Today, serious studies of Roswell generally treat Moore as both an important historical figure and a cautionary example.
